Household Pet Recording Program

Program Overview

We are proud to offer the CFA Household Pet Recording to the owners of non-pedigreed cats! As the world’s largest registry of pedigreed cats, it is CFA’s mission to enhance the well-being of all cats!

CFA registered Household pets from 1969 to 1989. After a twenty year hiatus, the CFA Board of Directors voted to bring back the CFA Household Pet Recording Program in 2011 to allow owners of Household Pets to have an official CFA Recording of their Household Pet.

While a CFA Household Pet Recording is not a requirement to show your Household Pet in a CFA-licensed show, it is a sign that you care just as much about your cat’s health and well-being as we do! We appreciate your taking this important step for your cat! Find out more information about showing your Household Pet at a CFA-licensed show.
