The Cats of Maou is a small CFA registered cattery located in the Texas Hill Country 50 miles NW of San Antonio, Texas.  Established in 1965 by Marian Johnson and now overseen by her daughter Trisha, the Cats of Maou have been exclusively and selectively developing, nurturing and professionally showing the British Shorthair breed of cat, always striving for the utmost perfection of the “Brit” in accordance with the CFA breed standard.  We LOVE the colors and typically have blues, blue & whites, cream tabbies, cream & whites, bluecreams and the occasional dilute calico.  Babies are hand delivered and imprinted at birth with socialization beginning from day one.  Kittens are raised uncaged in a spacious jungle gym nursery and we implement a strong mental stimulation program of weekly rotated toys to nurture their intelligence.  Babies stay with their Mom until 15-16 weeks of age and released to new homes when THEY are emotionally ready.  Prior to adoption, all kittens will have received their three core vaccines, three veterinary health exams, one year genetic health guarantee and neuter/spay agreement.  We raise babies that are physically active, affectionate, confident and intelligent little characters.  Kittens are occasionally available for adoption...email mtbarmranch@aol.com for availability.
