My name is Melissa and I am a USDA Licensed Cat Breeder.(USDA#506624) I've been in Rescue my whole life and before becoming a Cat Breeder I actually was a USDA Licensed Wildlife Conservationist.  My love is Med/Big sized cats but these days I simply breed Lykoi and Devon Rex cats since moving to VA. My focus is solely on the health, socialization,  and happiness of my cats. Here, I do immense testing on ALL my lykoi and devon rex bloodlines. Some of the testing I do here includes; O.S. DNA Panels for ALL adult breeding cats AND 50% of each litter of kittens to insure nothing creeps in the lines(this dna test alone tests for over 40+ different diseases/disorders including the HCM gene), PCR Fecal/Respiratory testing, regular Fecal testing, Baer testing for ALL dominant eyed cats of both breeds, Heart Murmur checks, yearly Xrays to rule out Hip Dysplasia,  and yearly CBC and Full Organ Panel CBC bloodwork. I also fully Vet my kittens before they leave my home including: 30 days FREE Trupanion Insurance,  microchipping, 3 FVRCPCH vacs,  1 Rabies Vac, spay/neuter, Fecal testing on ALL kittens before going home, heart murmur checks, airline approved cat carrier provided, lifetime breeder support, an ©️Atreyukatz Cattery Birth Certificate, and a full goody bag of all health records/health trifold, and a strict contract guaranteeing health and genetics of ALL my cats and kittens. Your kitten will also be sent home with scent soaker toys, new toys, samples of current wet/dry food, clothing, and much much more. ALL my kittens are also: leash/harness trained, clothing trained, cat wheel trained, and clicker trained(upon request) for FREE OF CHARGE. I love training my kittens, it's something I picked up working with Med/Big sized cats. 

I breed ALL COLORS and Variations of Devon Rex cats. I also newly started breeding Longhair Devon Rex cats as well, I am inamored with the beauty of the LH Devon Rex cats. I also have implemented the DOMINANT EYED genetics into my Devon Rex cats. We now have solid colored devons with beautiful bright blue and odd eyes.

For the Lykoi I breed mostly black/blue roan,  tabby roan, torbie roan, tortie roan, chocolate roan, cinnamon roan, and red roan lykoi these days. ALL of the other lighter colors like point, lilac, fawn, mink, sepia, and bicolors DO NOT have visual roaning or good masking at all therefore we do not breed them any longer. The WHITE Lykoi do NOT have Roaning at all and should not even be bred, let alone shown so we no longer breed white Lykoi either.  Here at Atreyukatz we have produced some of the very first colors of Lykoi you've ever seen and thats how we weeded out all of the colors of Lykoi that do not go good with the breeds traits/features. We are the first breeders since 2017 of over 8 new colors of lykoi and we are also the first Lykoi Breeder of the DOMINANT BLUE/ODD EYED Lykoi. It's a beautiful gene and we now have the DOM EYED genetics in solid colored lykoi as well. Both LH and SH Lykoi are bred here. 

Along with getting yearly inspections from the USDA, we also get twice yearly inspections by our Veterinarian as well. I love what I do and it shows in my cats and on our social media outlets . I am the FIRST Breeder to also run my program OPENLY and HONESTLY on our social media pages. I do that so people can see a beautiful State of the Art Cattery Facility firsthand, what it takes to really run a great facility, the emotions behind being a Ethical breeder, and what a breeder goes thru in their breeding journey, good or bad. My social media is not for everyone, so just beware. I believe that breeding should NOT be so discreet like we are normally told to be. I take pride in my babies and you'll see that right away. Our kittens are raised in my home underfoot with me, our Maternity Room is also inside my home. I've renovated my whole home to accommodate my cats, my studs, and my kittens. I'm sorry, we don't just share cute kitten pictures because breeding is a lot more than that. I share everything from my kitten room, to mating room, to my Maternity room and Neonatal kitten care, as well as birthing videos and disinfection protocol videos. I also like to give my time away and I am a Lykoi and Devon Rex Mentor as well to new breeders that are starting out good with a well thought out Breeding Plan and know exactly what they want and are willing to breed abiding by the standards we are given with each Association. 

Here at Atreyukatz,  we follow our breeds standards. I only outcross my breeds with the allowed outcross only. I also do NOT believe in inbreeding cats what so ever. I'll outcross before I'll ever inbreed.
