Steve Dale Presents:  Red Flags Red Flags: For Me to Know and For You Never to Find Out, Cats and Pain:
Recognizing pain in cats can be challenging. As predators, their evolutionary imperative is to mask any weakness they experience. Consequently, they will do whatever they must to keep up the illusion that they feel fine, even in the face of significant, life-altering chronic pain. Recognizing feline pain means understanding the behavior changes that are clues to discomfort. Tips of cracking cats masquerading as pain-free. Getting cats to the vet continues to be an issue, and tips are offered. Explanations included encouraging exercise/enrichment and various products which can help with a multimodal approach, including the monoclonal antibody Solensia.

2:30

Steve Dale Presents:  From FIP to Fear Free: The World is Changing for Cats
Certified animal behavior consultant Steve Dale reveals the back-story on how the EveryCat Health Foundation, legendary investigator Dr. Niels Pedersen from University of California, Davis and kittens with FIP led to the usage of Remdesivir to treat COVID-19 in humans. And how FIP is no longer considered fatal, but instead is now treatable. Fear Free is an initiative that has helped veterinary professionals around the world and cat parents adjust how they think about cats. Steve will talk about what Fear Free means for your cats.
