There will be tons available to do, from seeing the cats competing in the rings and running in agility, to doing meet and greets with famous felines, seeing educational talks, watching cat-themed musical entertainment and shopping to your heart’s content!
While the CFA International Show has historically been a breeder event, it is now a mecca of all things cats and welcomes over 15,000 cat lovers.
There will be up to 1000 cats of 45 different pedigree cat breeds as well as non-pedigreed cats, famous cats, and rescues with adoptable cats.
Always ask first! Many breeds will have a breed booth and those booths will have Ambassador and/or Pet Me Cats available to meet and greet with the public.
Some breeders may have cats for sale, and those who don’t will likely have business cards for those interested. There will also be rescue cats available for adoption from local groups and shelters.
Only CFA registered cats pre-registered for the International Cat Show competition may attend. Entries open in July and close in September.
To learn more about entering your cat in the show, please join the CFA New Exhibitor FB group to learn how to enter: https://www.facebook.com/groups/226791871347637
You can enter the show online until the 24th of September. Learn more here https://cfa.org/catexpo/show-your-cat/
It is recommended that you ask first, but often breeders are happy to have their cats photographed. You should try to catch them on in their benching areas though, since it’s harder for them to stop and chat if they’re running to a ring!
There will be tons of vendors to delight with things for cats and cat lovers!
