North Atlantic Region Celebrates Excitement Ahead of CFA Annual

The North Atlantic Region has spent the last several months preparing for its upcoming Delegate Session and Annual event, bringing members of the Cat Fanciers’ Association together for a highly anticipated weekend of celebration and connection.

Energy and enthusiasm have continued to grow throughout the region as dedicated teams work hard to create a beautifully decorated and welcoming event for attendees. From planning and fundraising to sponsorships and volunteer efforts, the spirit of teamwork and community has been at the heart of every step.

Organizers say the excitement surrounding this year’s event has been truly inspiring. For some participants, including first-time attendees, the annual gathering marks a special opportunity to connect with fellow members and celebrate the shared passion of the cat fancy community.

Support from sponsors, corporations, and individuals has also played a major role in helping make the event possible. Organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed funds, donated resources, or offered their time and assistance during the planning process. The 2026 Annual sponsor is RAWZ, a family-owned company known for producing natural pet food made with high-quality ingredients and a strong commitment to animal welfare, including support for shelters and rescue organizations. Special recognition was also given to Aruba Cats for their continued generosity and sponsorship of the event.

As preparations enter the final stretch, regional leaders extended special thanks to members across the cat fancy community who helped sell commemorative pins and encouraged friends, families, and fellow members to support the cause. One of the weekend’s most anticipated highlights will be the Friday Night Hospitality and Costume Contest, taking place from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to dress in their best Roaring ‘20s attire and join in an evening of celebration, creativity, and community spirit.

Hospitality Night will also offer light finger foods for attendees, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests to relax, mingle, and enjoy the evening’s festivities.

Costume contest categories will include:

  • Best Charlie Chaplin
  • Best Felix the Cat
  • Best Flapper
  • Best Gangster
  • Best “Some Like It Hot” movie character

Each category winner will receive a $100 prize, while the coveted “Best in Show” Grand Prize Winner will receive a special award sponsored by The Highland Oasis.

Entertainment throughout the evening will include music and a photo booth provided by CNY Sound, adding to the festive and interactive atmosphere.

In addition to the official meetings and celebrations, attendees can look forward to an atmosphere filled with friendship, collaboration, and a renewed sense of community.
