Malaysia Country Coordinator, CFA International Division
The CFA International Division Awards and Banquet was held on November 2, 2025, at the elegant EQ Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, marking a joyous celebration for cat fanciers across the International Division, including China. Held alongside the 10-Ring Asia World Show, the weekend attracted over 160 cats and exhibitors from Asia (and also the United States,) providing a platform not only to compete for new season titles but, more importantly, to strengthen the bonds within the international cat fancy community across the ID and China.
A total of over 700 awards were presented to top recipients from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Vietnam, Asia West, and the three regions of China. The event was proudly sponsored by Malaysia-based Pet Universe Nourish, whose continued support has greatly contributed to the growth of CFA in this region. The banquet was also graced by officials from the Department of Veterinary Services Malaysia and Thailand International Pet Food Co Ltd (IPF), underscoring the growing recognition of the cat fancy within Malaysia and the region.
The organizing committee extends heartfelt thanks to CFA for the privilege of hosting this prestigious event in Malaysia, the first in over a decade. Thank you for believing in us. Malaysia Boleh! While the event had its share of minor challenges, it ultimately proved to be a meaningful and memorable gathering, thanks to the commitment and leadership of Mr. Lai Howe Chuan, Mr. Loh Wai Leong, and the dedicated organizing committee whose tireless efforts made it all possible. We hope all attendees enjoyed our Malaysian hospitality and took home fond memories of Kuala Lumpur as we look forward to welcoming everyone again in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2026. Congratulations to all winners and cat fanciers in this region. With such passion and perseverance, the cat fancy will continue to flourish in Asia.
